With mixed emotions, we’re sharing that Free Run Cellars has a tentative sale in place and will begin an exciting new chapter. Sunday, December 1, will mark our last day as part of the Moersch Hospitality Group.
However, we are delighted to share the news of the tentatively accepted offer to sell Free Run Cellars to Prashanth Pais and Trish Slevin, a visionary husband-and-wife team passionate about wine and creating memorable experiences. Their official ownership begins on Friday, December 6, and they are bubbling with ideas to bring a fresh perspective to the tasting room and vineyard.
Meet the New Owners
Prashanth Pais and Trish Slevin bring a vibrant energy and new vision to Free Run Cellars. Parents of three young children (#3under3!), they are no strangers to balancing ambition and family life. Prashanth, originally from South India, grew up exploring his family’s coffee estates, cultivating a deep love for agriculture and sustainability. Trish, an Indiana native, is returning to her Midwest roots with her family after living in Colorado and excelling in her healthcare career.
In addition to their professional achievements in the tech and healthcare industries, Prashanth and Trish share a love for travel, great food, and building Lego masterpieces during the holidays. They are excited to immerse themselves in Southwest Michigan’s vibrant wine culture and look forward to contributing to the region’s growing reputation as a wine destination.
What’s Next for Free Run Cellars?
The new owners are planning a period of thoughtful transition and preparation, and as such, Free Run Cellars will remain closed until spring 2025. During this time, they ask for your patience and support as they refine their vision for the space and prepare to welcome guests to a reimagined experience. Free Run wines will continue to be sold online during this transition. Stay connected by following Free Run Cellars on social media, where updates and sneak peeks will be shared throughout their journey.
