Job Description
Under the supervision of the CEO, oversees, directs, and coordinates the day-to-day operations of an individually assigned territory. The primary focus will not only be to manage the existing business portfolio but also actively search for new business opportunities, develop business growth strategies, and identify key relationships that can ultimately maximize sales.

Brand Manager

  • Be able to effectively make presentations of the Moersch Hospitality Group portfolio to customers in the market; strong presentation skills and deck development are a must
  • Provide superior customer service and follow-up to all customers in the designated territory of Indiana, Kentucky, and Wisconsin
  • Maintain up-to-date and detailed product knowledge of all products across all brands
  • Describe new/seasonal products and provide samples to accounts when appropriate
  • Secure advantageous brand positioning and POS/display space
  • Identify and adapt to competitive sales trends
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers by visiting accounts, addressing service needs, attending social and promotional events, and staying up-to-date on account/market/territory conditions
  • Complete order requests and consults with clients to determine if adequate inventory is being ordered; obtain and be able to analyze depletion reports
  • Facilitate deliveries to accounts as necessary; this may include handling transportation errors or issues related to out-of-stock merchandise
  • Rotate products as necessary within accounts to ensure the highest quality
  • Work in conjunction with the marketing department to set up/design POS materials
  • Track account visits, featured products, merchandising, and POS/display information
  • Train account staff on product knowledge and provide tastings (when applicable) to increase sales
  • Attend general sales meetings with distributors to ensure knowledge of the territories is up-to-date
  • Organize and prepare for events: when, where, what needs to be brought, the cost to participate, payment for the product, coordination with distributors, have posters designed and printed, recruit/organize volunteers, etc.

  • Work and effectively communicate with leadership and wholesale team
  • Analyze sales, business relationships, and areas for opportunity
  • Assist leadership to make sound business decisions
  • Execute sales strategies and plans for the wholesale team in specified territory
  • Adhere to high standards of ethics and professionalism in all decisions and actions
  • Provide product sales forecasting for production teams and leadership
  • Build and maintain key business relationships with chain buyers, distributors, and other key players within the industry
  • Oversee the day-to-day business in the Illinois and Wisconsin markets

Work Environment
This job operates in a home office/mobile office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. This role also spends a lot of time on the road visiting accounts and making sales calls.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, exempt position. Sometimes more than 40 hours per week will be required; weekends and some holidays may also be required

Required Education and Experience

  • BA Degree strongly preferred; diploma required
  • Previous sales management experience required
  • Proven record of leadership and sales excellence
